A wedding at Blake Hall, Essex

We were delighted that Nick and Amy chose us to photograph their wedding – not least because we got to shoot in the fabulous gardens at Blake Hall, Ongar, Essex

Our day started at Nick and Amy’s house in Chelmsford with some relaxed and informal portraits of the bride, her three bridesmaids and her dad who had flown in specially from Spain.
The couple got married in front of a packed Bobbingworth Church, and then it was on to Blake Hall where we stayed until the end of the meal in order to photograph the speeches.
Peter and Kerri were great throughout our day. Very hardworking and polite. Our wedding album is second to none. Thanks to you both for all the hard work.
Whilst Kerri was busy taking informal photographs of their wedding guests enjoying the drinks reception, I took Nick and Amy away from everyone for about 15 minutes into the beautiful grounds to take some controlled portraits of the newly weds. It was a chance to calm things down and for them to spend a few quiet minutes together.
As always with our wedding photography, the poses were kept as natural as possible. Here are some of the highlights from that part of their day…
